Initial Consultation Information:  During your initial consultation, I will listen to you as you give information about why you came to see me, what has happened so far, your concerns and what you want to accomplish.  I will ask you questions and I encourage you to ask lots of questions. I will discuss options and approaches to handling your legal matter and the law that applies.  I may also provide you with additional information to take home, such as brochures, CD's or websites for you to look at.  I will also explain how to hire me and the first steps I will take when you retain me to represent you.  The fee for an initial consultation is $25 for a half hour.  Normally an initial consultation only takes a half hour but, if we go longer, after the first half hour I will bill at my regular hourly rate.

Retainers:  A retainer is a deposit.  At the initial consultation, based on the information you share with me, I will estimate how much time and what fees and expenses will be incurred in representing you.  The initial retainer will be based on that estimate.

Office Hours:  My regular office hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. My staff and I generally go to lunch from 12 noon - 1 p.m.  I normally do not make appointments in the evening or on the weekends. However, I will try to work with you if you have special circumstances.
